The most well-known, researched, and critically evaluated is the Transtheoretical Model of Change (TTM) developed by Prochaska and DiClemente. The TTM operates under the assumption that people do not change behaviors quickly. Which is certainly not what the quick-fix, instant gratification society of today markets.
